Ikea has announced it will adjacent its mini format shop astatine the Scarborough Town Centre shopping promenade in Toronto sometime early adjacent year.
The furnishings retailer says shifting user behaviour toward online shopping and the constricted scope of products that could beryllium offered astatine the smaller shop resulted successful weaker-than-expected performance.
The mini format shop opened successful August 2023.
The location is expected to stay unfastened until a last closing day is determined.
Ikea says the shop employs 130 people.
