Pictou County District RCMP are investigating the theft of dozens of metallic vases from a cemetery connected Alma Road adjacent Sylvester, N.S.

After receiving a study of aggregate vases missing from their headstone mountings astatine Heatherdale Memorial Cemetery, investigators went to the cemetery. The RCMP estimates much than 60 vases were stolen betwixt March 21 and April 4.

Staff astatine the cemetery, which is presently nether the attraction of the state of Nova Scotia, person confirmed the vases were not removed by labor during maintenance.

A spokesperson for the state said it is “disappointing and disturbing that last resting places person been violated aliases tampered pinch by chartless individuals.”
