Two group are facing charges aft a suspected mid-drive “seat-swap” successful a motorhome that tried but grounded to outrun officers successful Abbotsford, B.C.

The getaway was short lived, pinch officers stopping the motorhome moments later and arresting the 51-year-old female who they recovered down the wheel.

But constabulary quickly realized they had a much analyzable puzzle connected their hands. The female had a valid driver’s licence and had nary evident logic to run.

Then they took a person look astatine the passenger, a 60-year-old man who constabulary opportunity was sitting awkwardly facing the driver’s spot and was not wearing a seatbelt.

They discovered he was a prohibited driver and officers deduced the brace performed a risky mid-drive switch, pinch the man allegedly jumping retired of the driver’s spot while the RV was still moving and the female sliding successful to return over.

Police later obtained video footage that they opportunity confirmed the man had been driving soon earlier the stop.
